Outlook and Outlook
Express settings for email.
These are the settings needed for setting
up a pop3 mailbox, in Outlook or Outlook Express.
All entry's must be made in lowercase during set-up. No capitals even in
names. Open Your email program
and select :
Tools > Accounts > Add > Mail.
Complete the information and click "Next" until Finished.

Incoming server is a POP3 server
Incoming server: yourdomain.com

(Do not use mail.yourdomain.com)
Outgoing server: It is our policy that you use SMTP settings
provided by your Internet Access Provider (IP). Contact Lake Metro if this isnt possible.
account name: name@yourdomain.com (This is the full email address for
the account you are setting up.)
password: (Self explanatory)
remember password: {check}
using secure password authentication {not checked}
My Mail server requires authentication {check}
Click settings
Use same settings that which is provided by
your IP.

Outgoing mail (SMTP) 25
this server requires secure connection (SSL) {not checked}
Incoming Mail (pop3) 110
This server requires secure connection (SSL) {not checked}
everything else unchecked MSN &
AOL Users Read: Those that use msn / aol for internet access may
not be able to send email using their return domain address. This has
nothing to do with us. |
